its so sad that there are only like a thousand samaritans left, when there used to be millions. its kind of stunning when you think that if not for judaism becoming a portable religion separate from the temple cult, there would only be a thousand jews left clinging to the ruins of their second temple in Jerusalem...

@technicallydifficult for good and for ill lol. at least if it had stayed that way there might be the chance of building a house of worship for all peoples and all monotheist religions there

@technicallydifficult thats so weird Samaritans are closer to jews than they are to arabs even though they speak Arabic... just another way israel is a disappointment to the jew fandom.

@technicallydifficult I think Israeli Jews might be a little jelly? especially since in jewish lore the Samaritans prayed in the wrong place and were mixed with assyrians. spicy sibling rivalry.
