this is libshitty but I wish people didn't say they "need/want a lobotomy". lobotomy was a very brutal way to control the mentally different without actually improving their condition. it was one of the worst forms of violence ever perpetuated against the mentally ill and even the merely somewhat subversive. one of the last lobotomies was performed on a neurotypical fifteen year old boy just because of overblown behavioral issues. it honestly disgusts me.

@nerthos @Oughtism the next generation of american jews will be either entirely reform or reconstructionist or atheist apart from a few enclaves, at least half will intermarry. whitenats talk about survival of their people but dont realize that the jewish people will not survive outside of Israel and a few ghettoes in other countries. ironically the only thing that could stop the process of assimilation is a persecution.

@Starlight ultimately God controls both the computer and the cards so it's not impossible for either to be correct. ive gotten accurate readings from online card pullers but theyre seldom as revelatory and trenchant as a physical card reading. I would only let a traditional algorithm do it though, not an LLM. I genuinely think AI is going to become a hugely deleterious societal ill and I just dont want that mixed with the numinous.

@nerthos @Oughtism jewish elites being just as divorced from the jewish laymen as gentile elites are from the christian laybeliever is something few in this thread would care to admit. the average person in both groups wants to perpetuate their ideology and themselves and doesnt want violence. this distinction may not persist though

@nerthos @Oughtism jews had lived in Spain for many many generations at the time. I'd understand not allowing muslims who conquered them to live in Spain but not jews. youre right that the inquisition is blown hugely out of proportion in protestant historiography, but I'd say that burning someone alive is never warranted.
