@subnetter is claude made by an evil company? ive only really heard of it being used by coders. while I usually care very much about privacy I find kagis LLM translation service invaluable, and I found moons claude powered LLM query on kagi incredibly illuminating in a way that kimi kagis private model has failed to live up to. while I dislike AI I think it depends how its used, it can stifle the human spirit but it can also be a great teaching tool ive realized. my favorite thing about it is when its trained on primary sources and I can go to the source myself, but often the source isnt available on annas.

@sun housing is extremely hard for most people to afford these days not because they aren't performing worthy work, but because wages havent increased with the housing market. wages havent increased imo mostly because shareholder value go up is seen as the supreme good. for instances my aunt I mentioned performs valuable work, shes a good teacher in underperforming communities, but shell likely never be able to afford a house.

@stickers @hj this is true about many lesbian transfemme-excluding feminists but most terfs these days are married mumsnet types, not spinsters or lesbians. they use rhetoric which suggests they hate men talking about male violence and rape and male criminality but they rely on cis men to enforce transphobic policies and they are devoted to their husbands and male children.

@sun youre right but I think its a great majority. such a stark position of power over someone as being able to directly render them homeless often results in abuse of this power. with other services provided if you do a bad job they can go elsewhere, its much more difficult with a shitty landlord.
