its ironic to me that the nicenes anathematized the view of Jesus as being of a different hypostasis than God the Father, thus anathematizing the first form of "three hypostasis one God". they did this to combat arianism but the latin church of course would later on assert the doctrine of three hypostasis themselves, when the meaning of hypostasis was changed to mean something more like "entity" than "underlying essential reality".

to say that God--the whole God--in His entire being--suffered for us in flesh like our own out of His compassion for us isn't to say He wasn't at the same time transcendentally situated in detachment from it, like a Lord of yoga. Gods being is simply inexhaustibly infinite and impartite in a way that's very difficult to fathom in the context of His incarnations. how can a being be free from maya as God and also take on the burden of maya for our sanctification? one day maybe i'll understand this.

God doesn't respond to prayer in the way a human responds to persistent entreaties. He responds because He wants us to have a relationship with Him for our own sake, because He loves us.

kinda silly of me to dualboot macos and asahi remix and then to treat my 500 GB macos partition like cancer. my intention was to make music on macos but i haven't done that yet. i'm kind of afraid of proprietary operating systems.
